fear

There is a fragile moment when complimenting someone.
That moment of fear before their brain realizes it is a compliment.
Before it brightens their day, the split second of horror exists.
A intense and crippling fear rippling through them.
That is followed by the reassurance of a strangers love.
It is  that feeling of comforting hand grazing your shoulder.
Or a lover feeling a blushing cheek.

Then you get to that age, where you realize every breath from person to person is like that.

Don't ever forget that moment of fear. we are all so afraid.
